We chose this cruise specifically for Harvest Caye, which was beautiful overall. The beach area however has very course sand and heavy seaweed. The show Six was also amazing. This is where the good stops. We have cruised with Norwegian many times in the past with little to no issues. The Breakaway was a disappointment. The ship is understaffed. Meal service was slow, staff unattentive, bar service all but non-existent unless one slides extra cash to the bartender or server. The meals were reminiscent of Golden Coral, lacking in flavor, hidden under gravies and overall unappetizing. Our cabin was dirty on day one as was our daughter's cabin. The pool and hot tubs were unusable due to the spilled drinks inside both bodies of water. Drinks were actively served within the pool to include in glass not always plastic cups. Public areas were dirty with a collection of cups and garbage littering tables and floors. The behaviors on this cruise were identical to our earlier experiences on Carnival. (No offense to Carnival...but the reputation as a party ship is widely known) Norwegian has now veered into this lane in our opinion. Truly any and all behaviors are acceptable. Lewdness and public indecency are applauded and a blind eye from management is evident. If this is your scene, you will love it! If you remember Norwegian as an upper scale experience, prepare for disappointment. We ended this cruise in New Orleans testing Covid positive the next day.
