I will start with the positive… the staff was very nice and helpful, and our Veranda Stateroom was comfortable.

The first stop on our cruise took us in the opposite direction of our destination (the Panama Canal), to their private island. This was a total waste of time, but no doubt a way for them to squeeze all the money the could out of a captive audience. The island itself was very fake and not much to do. It also added on a full day at sea, because we had to travel backwards from there.

At he second stop in Costa Maya we started with an ATV tour, which was very nice. Afterwards we were bussed to a “resort”, where we were promised “free” drinks. The resort was extremely dirty, with young kids trying to sell souvenirs in between being chased away by the guard. And the drinks were of the cheapest possible quantity.
