Chose this small ship to escape the hordes on previous cruises 

The ship itself was a comfortable size but didn’t enjoy the rough seas 

Cabin was ok , plenty of storage but the smallest shower I’ve ever seen !Main dining for dinner was very good and the included wines were of a good standard 

Lunches in the buffet were ok but not exceptional 

Breakfast buffet was average at best and on some days poor, cold tasteless food 

The entertainment was embarrassing poor and very poorly attended 

Daytime entertainment was virtually non existent apart from quizzes and bingo

The wifi prices were ridiculous and the shore excursions more so , we arranged all or own excursions at more than 50% cheaper 

The biggest issue was the changes to the itinerary brought about by the requirement to have a clean hull to enter the pristine NZ waters such as Milford Sound 

We were given the impression this was unexpected even though the cleaning requirements have been In force since 2018 

Many hours and days were wasted at sea , at times going around in circles because we couldn’t enter the major pristine waters 

I’m sure Azamara knew all this before we even left and  we were never going to keep to the itinerary saving them
