The October 2022 RCCL trip out of Boston was a big disappointment because the Voyager Diamond lounge was dark, unkempt, and looked like it was a renovated broom closet. I think there were 1-2 windows showing either steps or the underside of lifeboats or some other obstruction that rendered the window(s) useless. When a concierge finally showed up, we went to her desk to make reservations for the week's shows (a service provided with a smile from the concierge on our Fall 2021 Alaskan RCCL trip on the Ovation). The Voyager Diamond Concierge looked up from her desk (I was the only guest in line) and said, you can do that on your app. RCCL accomplished its marketing objective to discourage use of the diamond lounges. We have returned to exploring cruising options with other lines...if we do another RCCL, we will lower our expectations.
Good experiences: 1. my spouse enjoyed the photography excursion - photography buffs should consider this outing. 2. The Crown & Anchor Lounge is a great place to enjoy morning coffee/tea, conversations & card games. 3. We enjoyed the Voyager's Windjammer for breakfast & lunch on our October 2022 Voyager trip. Our MDR dinner wait staff were excellent & we enjoyed all of our menu choices in the MDR. Below, I rated the "public rooms" with only 1 gold circle because of the "hot mess" that was passed off as a Diamond Lounge to loyal guests. The Viking Crown Lounge is clean and all guests can enjoy a spectacular view morning, noon and night.
Loved our ocean view balcony cabin. We always make sure cabins are above and below our own cabin to avoid noise from public spaces. Our cabin steward was attentive, kind and pleasant.
