Sailing to North Norway and north of the Artic Circle seemed an adventure we had never done. It appeared to feature many unique locations and experiences. Sailing on Viking, the Norwegian cruise company, felt like a good fit. Viking is a premier cruise line with many wonderful features. The dining is very good, both food and service. The Afternoon Tea, served in the Wintergarden, is an elegant event with a variety of premium teas and tea sandwiches and pastries. The scones are particularly yummy. The cabin stewards were of course, excellent. One could not have asked for more. The entertainment in the evenings was a mix of singers, magician and story telling. One singer Lee Bradley, was really outstanding. I would think his name will be heard again. There were also informative talks most afternoons about the next port of call or the history of the area or one particularly interesting one about the Bayeaux Tapestry. This was woven after William the Conqueror became King of England. The tapestry shows his history and it is reproduced on the walls of the ship. Very very fascinating.
