Sailing on the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers and visiting 4 countries was a wonderful experience! Beautiful river sites, colorful sunsets, and interesting cities at each docking. The excursions included a variety of experiences and sites. I especially loved the Mozart Concert in Vienna and the all day tour of Salzburg with the Sound of Music musical lunch. Definitely inspiring goose bump memories! The docking locations were relatively near city sites. In a couple of sites (Amsterdam, Koln, the walk was approximately 1 - 1.5 miles from docking to city centers). For other excursions comfortable buses transported us to our sites. The cruise director, staff, and tour guides were all highly professional, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. Viking ships serve a variety of delicious local foods available at each meal. The cabins are spacious, neutrally colored, and bright. Overall I loved my pre-trip tour in Amsterdam and the 14 day Grand European Cruise!
