Sail Date: Jan 2023
Cabin: Grand Suite

After many years since my last cruise, my new husband and I decided it was time for him to experience his first cruise.

We chose the Conquest because the itinerary fit our schedule. We also chose the conquest for it's size, and the deal we got on this sailing.

We were booked for an Ocean Suite, but the upgrade fairy put us in a Grand Suite. We took advantage of the perks that come with a suite such as priority embark/debark/shuttle service. We walked right on the ship, no waiting for our room, we got off the ship to HMC without a wait. We walked right off the ship without a long line. So nice!

Grand Suite

We booked an Ocean Suite, but were upgraded to the Grand. We loved having the room. It was the size of a hotel room! We will always book a Suite category in the future.

Half Moon Cay

The Horseback ride was not as advertised. We did not ride to the highest point for panoramic views. We basically rode the perimeter of the ranch and then down to the beach. Due to the rough waves on this day, our horses were not allowed to ride in the ocean. We rode a short distance on the beach. We were informed of this when we got to HMC and were offered to cancel with no penalty or receive a 20% discount. We opted for the discount. However, the experience was still not what was anticipated since we did not ride to the highest point of the island for the view. The staff did ride along with us and offered to take pictures using your phone. There was also a carnival photographer taking pictures that you could purchase onboard. I probably would pass on this excursion if I returned to HMC.

Nassau

We booked the 2-reef snorkel with Stuart Cove. Wonderful staff made it safe and enjoyable for everyone including those who have never snorkled before or were afraid of the water. We saw beautiful fish and underwater coral. We visited 2 sites that were not far from eachother and the second site didn't really have much life there. We must have hit it at the wrong time. It was still fun to snorkel and be in the warm water. We thought this excursion was worth the $$.

After seeing the other cataraman snorkel excursion we were so happy we booked with Stuarts Cove. The other 3 boats were extremely crowded (had to be almost 100 people all together) with nowhere to sit onboard. We had approximately 20 people on our boat with a place for everyone to sit.
