For our 9th cruise we decided to try norwegian out of puerto rico for their frequent stops, up front good value and our first norwegian cruise. We’ve been on 1 carnival, 1 celebrity, 2 holland and 4 royal previously. The Beatles shows were kinda cool but hardly any production like shows on royal, the comics were good and the drink package and all tips/gratuities covered everything else was so so. The dining room experience sucked. 2 hours to eat with a pretty limited menu for the dining room and sub par food, even carnival was better. waiters didn’t know what menu items were, took forever to take drink orders and often waited for our deserts and just left. Bar lines were very long constantly. We either had too many boozers, like myself, on the cruise or all the bars seemed understaffed. each and every one needed at least 2 more people working. The specialty dining was hit or miss. The Brazilian dinner lacked and flavor to the meats, they hardly came around. Half of our party of 13 got food poisoning from somewhere and the other half got a different sickness.

The room layout is strange and the Bathroom setup is really weird. This was our first cruise post covid so i’m not sure if the what seemed like lacking staff was a still needed employees thing or that’s just how it is on their ships.
