We'd never been to this part of the world & wanted to experience the different cultures. We added the pre in Ha Long Bay & post in Bangkok; therefore, this was a combination of river & land tour. We were met at the airport by our Tour Director. Tony was fabulous, knowledgable & went out of his way to make sure everyone was enjoying his country. Every hotel was top notch - good size rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, & wonderful, plentiful breakfast choices. Each hotel had local choices to try which was fun. The ship was new & the service was awesome from every member of the staff. The chef(from Turkey) on the ship had fabulous menus. We did every excursion & learned so much about the countries histories & culture. It was a vast variety of adventures with many different types of transportation. The local tour guides in Cambodia & Thailand were excellent. We knew it was going to be very hot & humid at this time of year & it was but it didn't detract form our enjoyment. Tony had dehydration packs to add to water for anyone who needed them. A 2nd night in Ha Long Bay would have been fantastic. If you are planning to do this cruise add this it is worth every penny. The ships deck with the pool & bar was the perfect place to pass the time away & make new friends. There was no problem from arrival to departure.

Cabin Review

Veranda Stateroom

Our veranda was small & not needed because it was usually too hot to sit out there Otherwise the remainder of the room was perfect. Viking always has plenty of places to store your belongings.
