This is our second time on the Viking Star and our first "post covid" Viking Ocean Cruise. For the most part we were very pleased with our cruise. The service at all levels and from all departments was outstanding. Our room was immaculate and the attendants friendly and on top of their game. Changes that we noticed from our first cruise were room snacks which were downgraded/changed from daily mini dark chocolate toblerone bars to a mini milk chocolate bar. Also, food although plentiful was not as outstanding as before. The cuts of beef (sirloin roasts) in the world cafe looked visually appealing but were inedibly tough. The main course food choice selections in the worldcafe and the inclusive wines offerred also seemed to repeat themselves very frequently. There must be wines other than Pinot Grigio that can be offerred as an inclusive . The entertainment , cruise director and her staff were talented and accessible. The lectures were informative and the speakers engaged the audience. The featured non staff entertainers were also outstanding.

Unfortunately, most of the inclusive tours I experienced were incredibly awful. Some of the transport buses were filfthy , with rusted seat frames and broken seats. Some of the bus tour guides devoted their time asking for tips instead of explaining what we were suppossed to experience per Vikings description of the tour. There should be more to a tour than stating there is a girls school on the left, if you get my drift. One tour was cut short by the tour operator after completing 1/2 of the tour. The operator stated that Viking Shorex wanted our bus to return to the ship and we couldn't walk around and go shopping, as described. When we got back to the ship, Viking's tour people stated they had not and did not order the bus back to the ship. I really beleive that based upon our experience the inclusive tour program needs a complete facelift as to the content and delivery of the tours. I do not know how you Travel the World in Comfort when passengers are provided tours on old buses with broken seats and rusted seat frames.
