I booked my Antarctica trip with Quark Expeditions before the pandemic hit. It was then cancelled twice but Quark was great with working with me to get rebooked each time. I finally made it to Antarctica on their newer ship, Ultramarine. It was an amazing experience. The ship itself is wonderful. The rooms are spacious, the food was amazing and it has the added benefit of having helicopters on board so we got to do helicopter sightseeing over Antarctica. The expeditions off the ship were all well organized and the expedition team really worked hard to find us safe but amazing off ship experiences. Everything from crossing the circle to paddleboarding to zodiac cruising to the landings was just amazing. We saw so many penguins, seals and whales and cruising through the iceberg graveyards was surreal. The onboard lectures were great and I learned so much about marine biology, birds, geology and history. I would highly recommend Quark if you are considering Antarctica.

Cabin Review

The cabin was amazing. Lots of space to spread out for two people. There was a couch and a desk area. The bathrooms even had heated floors.
