We had an inside cabin on the Ruby. The cabin was cramped but had a separate private storage area around the bathroom, which was nice. The food onboard was amazing. The buffet was small but had plenty of options for food. However, there were not that many free juices in the beverage area of the buffet. All 3 main dining rooms were very nice and had delicious food and waiters. The specialty restaurant Sabatini's was amazing. Salty Dog Grill, which served hot dogs/burgers by the pool, had delicious food but often had long lines. Embarkation in San Francisco was a nightmare. We arrived at the port early but had to wait outside in the sun for nearly 2 hours, and then waited inside for even longer. The trivia and gameshows onboard were amazing, but the theater productions were not the best. The service onboard was amazing; all the staff were extremely kind.
