Cruising the Danube combined with Christmas Markets was spectacular! Still had guided tours of the ports, but also got to take in the Christmas Markets. The ship was clean, up-to-date and well-kept. The staff were pleasant, professional, yet friendly. The guides for the included tours were excellent (for the most part), and there was a fair amount of time in each port to explore. We did not find it quite as easy to navigate our way back to the ship on our own as they told us it would be. The lounge piano player was awesome; dining room waitstaff were attentive; cruise director was phenomenal. The food was ok, nothing spectacular and was routinely warm, not hot. EXCEPT for the soups ... they were hot & delicious! And although our cabin was kept clean & stocked, we never had any interaction w/ our cabin steward. She never stopped by to introduce herself nor did she interact at all during the week.
Port was on our Danube Christmas Market cruise. It's a small town, and we were not impressed with the Christmas market as it was 95% food - the SAME food at each stand. Not our favorite port.
