Sail Date: Dec 2022

I received an email from MSC stating that my high-end Diamond status would go away if I did not cruise by end of 2022. I had hoped that MSC had improved since my last cruise with them in2016. I will give them the benefit of the doubt due to the fact that a passenger on the previous cruise went overboard which delayed boarding by about 5 hours. I know this time is very important for the crew to be able to get the ship ready for the next group of passengers. About 95% of the hand sanitizer stations were empty. That is simply unacceptable under any circumstances.

The food was served in what I would call POW portions. It was served tepid rather than hot. The wait staff did their best, but MSC has a lot to learn about being a cruise ship rather than a cargo ship.

I had prepaid my gratuities and fortunately checked while onboard to discover I was being charged for them again. I had to wait in line to get to customer relations to have this corrected. It was a short cruise so I'm sure the 5-hour delay had an effect on the lack of hand sanitizers.
