We chose this cruise because of our previous experience with Viking. Staff, food, accommodations, excursions - everything was wonderful. We loved the excursions we chose, especially the Alsatian wine tasting. The winemaker/owner was fantastic and he provided a wonderful selection of wines for us to taste. The Colmar World War II excursion in France/Germany was quite moving. The Dine in Rudesheim was a lot of fun as was the Cologne's Beer Culture and Dinner. Of course, the guide for these two excursions made it so much fun. We also liked the trip to the windmills in Kinderdijk and the Dutch cheese making excursion. There were so many castles along the river as we cruised from port to port and I wish we could have visited them but that would have taken so many days that we didn't have. There is really nothing about our cruise that we didn't like and/or love. Viking also handled our pre-cruise excursion in Lucerne, Switzerland and the accommodations and tours there were excellent. We would highly recommend Viking to everyone.
