We have done other cruises before, but by far this was this best cruise we have taken! The crew was amazing, from the Captain of the cruise, to the director of the cruise who managed to learn every passenger's name and utilized it each time we met, to the servers who gave us the best dining experience each time, to the crewmen who took care of the ship, were all excellent! All the crew willingly engaged with us, sought to make sure all our needs were met, and went above and beyond our expectations. They often thought ahead of what our needs might be and were there to provide. The cruise director made sure our experience was fun and taught us so much about each area we visited. It was so nice to meet other people on the cruise and make friendships with them that added to the pleasure of the cruise. The food was delicious and incredible. If you wonder how you will sleep on the cruise, it is like a baby, without a care in the world. The quiet and smooth ride of the river cruise was surprising to us after cruising an ocean liner. The scenery was gorgeous, and the experiences of visiting new places and side trips was wonderful. The buses to transport us to and from planned excursions were always there on time and so very comfortable. If you are looking for a cruise that has beautiful scenery, perfect accommodations, amazing crew, and no worries while traveling, Viking is the place to book your next cruise.
