I chose this cruise because it went out of Long Beach, which was convenient for us. I am used to longer cruises but it was definitely nice to get away for a few days. Loved our CD "Hey, Deon"... can't say enough about him! My main complaint was that it was too crowded and that some of the activities need to be held in bigger spaces (move them from the small bar area to the theater space!). I have been on many cruises and 3 cruise lines and this felt like one of the most crowded/ cramped/ not enough space for activities and people that I've experienced in a cruise. The buffet was almost impossible... way too crowded (people and just tight spaces). There was not enough seating for people. This was different from my experiences on many other cruises. The steak house was great, but I did burn myself on their hot skillet and didn't feel so great later that evening (but at the time of eating, the food was superb). The free burger joint and taco place were great... very yummy! Enjoyed some late night pizza. I liked the look of our main dining room (ours was the one on the back of ship), but food was just OK in the main dining room. Had an aft balcony room on the 6th floor. It was your typical cruise cabin, but worked just fine for us. Enjoyed the balcony when we could (weather wasn't the best on our cruise). One of the things I love on Carnival is the comedy. We were able to go to several shows, though some bits became redundant. Something I noticed on this ship was that the staff didn't seem very friendly. Not mean, but just not very friendly. Again, something that seemed different from prior sailings. This ship is ok for a very short cruise, but I would never take it for a longer cruise.
