A cruise is oftentimes what you make of it. This is my 8th cruise and 5th solo cruise. I will be honest and say this is the worst cruise I’ve ever taken, however it is as still a very good trip, experience and I had a nice time. The value for the money was still wonderful.

Let’s begin.

The ship itself is wonderful, however it needs some care. It’s immaculately clean and sanitized, but has some engine problems that cause vibrations and heavy smoke to disperse around the top deck of the ship at times. Some complained it caused breathing problems. For myself it didn’t cause any issues but I thought to myself, this isn’t normal. Common areas are well kept and clean. One of the doors on the deck 8 waterfront was acting up a little bit. At times soap dispensers were empty. Otherwise the ship itself is fantastic. Although I prefer the sister ship Breakaway and big brother ships Escape and Bliss over the Getaway.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Good cabin. Good obstructed view of the bridge. Connecting door but thankfully had quiet neighbors
