Cabin: Sky Suite

We chose this for the itinerary at first. Stayed in a Sky Suite which we loved. This was the newest ship we've been on so there were a lot of differences. The ship is beautiful and clean. The food was fabulous. The entertainment was top-notch and the Captain was very visible and had a superb sense of humor! We did miss some of the things that the older ships have such as shops that don't sell high-end jewelry; the gelato station; and toilets that you don't have to reach behind the lid to flush. I never saw a library either, but did not really search for one.

The Eden restaurant was fabulous! Loved our dinner there. We also ate at Raw on 5 which was also fantastic.

We were very excited to go to Le Petite Chef as we had enjoyed it last year and loved it. The menu did not look appealing and was the same for all 10 nights so we skipped it.

Cabin Review

Sky Suite

cabin 10145. We loved the cabin. It was a bit smaller than the aft sky suite we had on the Silhouette. But the full window wall to the veranda and the bed facing it made up for it! There is plenty of storage for everything. The bathroom is great and the shower/tub was fantastic. We never used the tub, but the shower is big enough for even really large or tall people. The wide sink with two faucets is really nice. The only things we didn't like is the toilet (which has it's own room with a door) and the flush system which you have to move the lid out of the way to flush it. This was every toilet on the ship. It's a pain and if you have back problems or are tall it is an issue bigger than a pain. The other thing we didn't like was the bathroom trash can which is very inconveniently located under the sink on a shelf. Very hard to get to. We moved it and our room attendant eventually gave up moving it back every day.

The room is appointed really well. There is also a window above the bed that opens into the bathroom. So you can look out at the ocean from the shower if you want!
