Visiting Egypt and cruising on the Nile River were definitely bucket list items for us and Viking did a great job of fulfilling that dream. We visited museums, pyramids, temples and tombs all along the Nile while having an excellent Egyptologist as our guide to provide us with intriguing details about the history and legends of the Pharaohs and their legacies. Each day brought a new insight and more background about Osiris, Isis, Horus and other gods and kings through the hieroglyphics that our guide explained to us for each structure that we toured.

The river boat Osiris is about a year old and is a well designed and very enjoyable mode of travel on the Nile. Our stateroom was excellent and very comfortable. The meals were superb with an opportunity to enjoy Egyptian cuisine both at lunch and dinner.

We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone with an interest Egypt and the Nile!
