We selected this because of the itinerary and because we wanted to try out Viking. We had never been to Scandinavia and the Viking trip seemed a good way of scouting out the area. We liked that the cruise spent two nights in Bergen, Oslo and Stockholm which gave us more time to explore these cities. We would have liked another day in Copenhagen but we are going back there this summer. We met a lot of great people on the cruise, Australians, Canadians, Englishmen (and women) and Americans. We mostly went on the included excursions but did a few of the extra-cost ones as well. The cruise line and the excursion contractors were very organized. No complaints there. The modern Scandinavian decor on the ship was perfect. In the evenings we spent a lot of time in the Explorers' Lounge and Torshavn Lounge. The band in Torshavn and the musical entertainment were excellent as well. The meals were also good although we enjoyed "The Restaurant" more than the two specialty restaurants, Chef's Table and Manfreddi's. The pool grill was equally as good. Our cabin was a Deluxe Veranda DV1 on Deck 8. It was plenty big and had a great location. We liked the cruise so much we have booked the 29 day Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Beyond cruise for this summer and a Viking Nile cruise for 2024. Our only other cruise was on Seabourn which was also very good although we liked Viking a little more.
