This was our third Viking cruise and we love the ships and especially the crews. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Food was very good in all the dining venues. Manfredi's speciality Italian was our favorite place to dine. The World Cafe is a buffet syle dining area that has all the same food as the formal dining area and usually has some really nice extras like king crab and shrimp. The Restaurant is the formal dining area with waitors and tablecloths. Always a great meal at a slightly slower pace. The Pool Grill is good for a snack or lunch. In the afternoon, you can have afternoon tea and a selection of finger food at Wintergarden. Usually some entertainment there also. We were also fond of the Explorer's Lounge at the front of the ship. It had a large expanse of windows and was a great place to sit and watch the world go by. There was always some entertainment there in the evening. The shows at night were very good with the ship dancers and band. There were other acts also. We got to know some of the ship's officers and crew and we enjoyed interacting with them and we were amazed that they can remember so many names. Embarkation and debarkation was very smooth and well done. All in all a very enjoyable experience!

Cabin Review

Cabin was quiet with a comfortable bed, couch, coffee table, desk and chair. The desk had a makeup mirror and makeup storage. Viking bathrooms are always great. A heated floor and adequate storage. My only wish is for more closet space and more drawer space. Closets and drawer space is about the same on most other cruise ships I have sailed on. There was also a safe, and a mini fridge with softdrinks or adult beverages. Robes and slippers were also provided. Room stewards were friendly and made up the room when we went to breakfast. They also checked the room in the evening and replaced towels and made the bed as needed.
