We're are cruise veterans, but this was our first river cruise with Viking. We loved the intimate feel of cruising with only a couple hundred guest. It gave us the opportunity to meet several couples who we are now planning to meet for future cruises. We found the included and add-on excursions excellent with very knowledgeable local guides. The difficulty rating and explanation of the type of terrain to be traverse was spot on. The Viking staff was very accommodating, helping us put together some custom excursions to meet the needs of our personal interest in certain ports. We found the food to be excellent with a standard menu of American fare for those who don't have an adventurous palate, plus local fare of the location for each day. Each evening they offered an overview of the activities for the next day, which we found informative and helpful.

We enjoyed our trip so much, we booked another river cruise with Viking for August 2023.

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

The cabin was comfortable and spacious. We don't tend to spend much time in our cabin, so as long as the bed is comfortable and the water in the shower is hot, we're happy. Viking meet both of those expectations and then some.
