This was a bucket list trip and it satisfied in every way. Service and food on the ship was exceptional, simple and elegant. Staff was attentive and helpful. Educational programs prepared us for what we would see next and entertainment often tailored with what we had done that day e.g. French opera singers, WWII songs, etc. We often had the same tour guides for our excursions and one in particular, Prunelle, taught us how to navigate the Paris Metro on our own, which came in very handy on the 3 day extension in Paris. We learned so much and saw so much, that it was a little overwhelming, yet on my return I feel that no highlight was missed. Our dock in Paris was in an excellent central location with a view of the Tour Eiffel from our ship, and an easy walk to it. Our extension hotel was located at the Tour Eiffel stop. This is absolutely the most carefree way to travel, with a comfy home and concierge coaches to help plan our personal adventures. The evening view as we travelled under the bridges of Paris while the city lit up was worth every penny. Claude Monet's gardens at Giverny, medieval castles and churches, Normandy battlefields, among the highlights. Exceptional itinerary and planning.
