This was our first time cruising on Celebrity. We went with another couple who also had not cruised Celebrity. First, the good. The ship was beautiful. Clean, well appointed, modern, etc. We were in Aqua Class so we dined in Blu (considered Main Dining Room for Aqua Class and Suites.) Nice restaurant, but not always the best service. Ran into a very testy sommelier, a slower than Christmas maitre'd and sometimes mediocre food. We addressed the service concerns with management and I will say, the next night, all was corrected. So that's good...they were listening!

We tried one specialty restaurant based on a cruise critic review. But we were disappointed. Not worth the upcharge. My meal was the best of the four of us and I was quite happy, but the other three in my party were not. After that, decided not to try any of the other specialty restaurants/upcharge.

We all 4 purchased the full drink package. Only one felt she did not get her money's worth. The rest of us were pleased for the most part. The disappointment was the lack of selection. They were out of almost every beer we asked for. They kept referring us to their beer list, and when we'd select another from that list, they were out. The beer variety and supply was very poor and they could not have cared less. The 'boat drinks' were also disappointing. We found the Blue Hawaiian very nice, but the pina colada, daquiri, rum runner, etc. all no good. We were glad we had the drink package so we didn't have to drink them!!

Cabin A1

1586: good room. No tub/shower only. Nice storage over beds. A/C not cooling properly but had it repaired and it worked some better but still hot when we were using the blow dryer!
