This was our second ocean cruise with Viking (the first in 2019, Barcelona to Venice; 2014 Grand European River Cruise). As previously experienced, we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise, with fabulous ports-of-call, seeing something new to us each day, meeting the locals, and totally loving the entire staff of the Viking Sea! We always love Viking’s meals, however, we did notice a change since our 2019 trip…nearly 1/3 of the buffet is sushi now, and we do not eat sushi. We remember fondly the three separate sections of the buffet line, where you could get sushi if you so chose to, but having it taking over 1/3 of what’s available to choose from, was not doing it for us. Yes, have seafood, have sushi, but don’t have sushi take-over so much of the buffet! I love that the ships are laid-out basically the same, so you don’t get lost each time you sail. Viking has wonderful excursions at each port, with several to choose from. We love Viking so much, we won’t sail with any other cruise line!…..in-fact, we will be doing the British Isles cruise (Bergen, Norway throughout Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England, AKA Great Britain) this year, and can’t wait. Oh, and their pre and post city extensions are really great too! Yep, I love Viking!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Veranda Stateroom

Couldn’t ask for a better cabin! We try to get the same room number for each cruise! We have a lovely view from the balcony, the beds are soooooo comfortable, and that bathroom! Heated floors, fog-free mirrors, and a wonderful walk-in shower that is really large! It is attended to by friendly and hard working cabin stewards twice daily, more if needed. They work very hard for their group of passengers, and will do anything you ask for! The room staff is impeccable, kind, friendly, and does an exceptional job of cleaning your stateroom.
