We did the Danube Waltz last August 2022. This was our first river cruise. We had free airfare, but upgraded to business class to travel from Chicago to Amsterdam. We will now only fly business class to Europe. We also got the drink package for free. We are not big drinkers…mostly only ordered a cocktail before and after dinner. The staff was wonderful. The service was fantastic. The ship was very nice. We had a lovely time meeting new people and making friends. The included excursions were really good. We did do a couple of extra paid excursions. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and very personable. We loved the audio system so it didn’t matter how far away we were from the guide, we could always hear him/her. We did the post excursion in Salzburg and Munich. Both were wonderful. We did an extra day in Munich to go to Dachau Concentration Camp on our own. Already we have the Rhine Getaway booked for next summer. Can’t wait!
