We wanted to try a more intimate cruise that would be relaxing yet cultural. The Rhine River coupled with a pre cruise extension in Lucerne was a totally wonderful experience. The sightseeing in and around Lake Lucerne was in itself almost like a second trip experience, the mountains of Rigi and Stanserhorn were nothing short of breathtaking. Viking always makes sure there is a representative to help guide you and suggest activities pertaining to the local area.

One we boarded the ship I was also pleased to see the attention to detail Viking goes through to assure your cabin an dining experience is second to none! All of our shore excursions were well planned and the guides knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The Longships are well designed allowing for comfortable rooms that are well appointed plus the dining and lounge areas are large enough to accommodate every guest onboard. We can hardly wait for our next river voyage!
