I have been on a few cruise lines and always heard that Viking is top tier. I am disappointed to say that it was not as good as it could of been.

I found it to be just above mediocre due to a couple of reasons. 1st, the food was simply average. The service in the specialty restaurants was spotty, with one night sitting there for almost an 45 minutes before getting served our food. I actually had to call the waiter over and ask "where is our food?". It was like they forgot the order. When the steak came out, it was not cooked as ordered. Big disappointment all around on the food.

The staff on board was very friendly and called us by our name. Always nice to hear. Read more
