We selected this cruise when our full transit Panama Canal cruise was cancelled in 2021. Although we were not thrilled to cruise on an older ship, and had heard negative reviews about her, we decided to give it a try.

The itinerary was supposed to include Jamaica, Costa Rica, Cartagena, Panama Canal, and Grand Cayman. Due to a Cuban refugee rescue we missed Jamaica, and due to weather conditions we missed Jamaica. The other ports were great.

The ship is a bit weathered and had some flooding issues during a storm, but the crew kept her clean and looking good as much as they could. There were some days where you could really feel the movement on board. Several in our group got sea sick.

Cabin Review

Penthouse Suite with Balcony

Our cabin was the basic mid-shop Penthouse suite. Everything worked fine, except the closet door often stuck. The balcony was long but on the narrow side. I wish they would go back to those nice wide balconies. The beds were super comfortable and we liked the layout of the cabin. Our attendant was the best!

Port Reviews

Cartagena (Colombia)

We took the Princess excursion "Cartagena Snapshot: A Small Group Tour". It was fantastic! We had a great tour guide too. The first part included a boat ride around the Old City. Then we toured the San Felipe Fortress and had some time to enjoy the shops in the Old Town.
