My husband and I chose to go back to Galapagos for a special anniversary. It was our second experience cruising there with Celebrity - 5 years apart. The newer ship, Flora, is incredible. Still small and intimate with the crew outnumbering passengers offering above and beyond service.The staff and the naturalists are still the most knowledgable and incredible that we've experienced. We knew a number of them from our previous cruise - an excellent indication of their loyalty to the environmental considerations as well as to Celebrity support for the Galapagos islands.

The suites are incredible. We chose one with a separate balcony instead of the 'virtual' balcony. We wanted the ability and additional privacy to have a separate balcony. The food was awesome - fresh and healthy ingredients as well as beautiful presentation. The information sessions held daily about the ports and the flora and fauna were exceptional.

We also added the Machu Picchu 'land cruise' from Celebrity the following week. Another first class and exceptional experience and easy way to tour Peru without any hassle. Our luggage was transported to each of the locations from Lima, Cusco and then on to the train to Machu Picchu and our small escorted tour. Our group of 16 cruisers became good friends. The hotels were all 5+ star experiences.
