We have sailed on MSC three times and find that the quality of the services suffering. The MSC Meraviglia is a beautiful vessel and we had beautiful cruise. But the quality of the food services in the main dining room was a big let down. The cruise line has simplified their menu to lower quality meals. Those specialty menu items we used to get, now cost extra to order. It looks as though MSC has shifted the better quality menus to their specialty restaurants.

The other issue was the quality of the shows. The main theater was smaller than most fleets and required reservations to view the shows. If you are new to the line, make sure you reserve your seats on the first day of the cruise. The quality of the shows do not live up to the advertising.

Other than these two issues we had a great cruse on the Meraviglia. She’s a beautiful ship. And the staff was very helpful with any questions we had. But be prepared to pay for anything that was not part of your booking.

Cabin Review

Balcony Aurea

The cabin was smaller than other cruise lines, but the bathroom has a better layout. The shower was enclosed with a plexiglass surround.. so no pulling the shower curtain of you while showering. The bed was next to the sliders which caused the room to feel really tight. Especially for the person sleeping on the door side of the bed. Tv programming was non existent. The have a relatively small assortment of on demand movies that are quite expensive to rent. The baloney is small as well, but very nice to sit on while at sea.
