We booked with NCL because we were looking for a family friendly, affordable cruise. We cruised with our just turned 3 year old daughter and were excited that she would be able to take part in the children's programming. We were unfortunately disappointed in the lack of activities she could participate in because she was not completely potty trained, and therefore not allowed to take part in any of the Splash Academy activities. We also were not allowed to stay there with her for any activities. This made for long days at sea for her when the weather wasn't as warm (we sailed from New York) and she wasn't able to be in the kids pool - there wasn't much else for her to do on board.

In spite of that, we did have a great time. The kids pool was very popular and we enjoyed the flexibility of eating on our own schedule. There were lots of food options on board, from sit down restaurants, to the pub, to the buffet. The buffet requires a bit of patience as there are so many people who are trying to eat and get drinks at the same time. Some people are rude and just cut in and it's quite chaotic.

The other disappointment was that our itinerary had a major change (they canceled one of our ports) and we were not notified by NCL of the change. We found out about it from our in-laws who were also booked on our cruise, but we never had any communication from NCL at all.
