This was part of a B2B sailing for us on the Celebrity Beyond. We were first time Celebrity Cruisers but have lots of cruises with other brands (Disney, Royal). The Celebrity Demographic was a little older than what we were use to but the ship still had a great atmosphere. The thoughtful and modern design of the ship provided a resort type feeling on the open decks and in many of the public spaces.
Entertainment on this ship was a true bright spot with two production casts that did a wonderful job! We especially appreciated the cast in the small venue of Eden, but wished the shows were a little earlier than 11:00pm. The ship has enough entertainment options that you would need a vacation after your vacation if you tried to take it all in.
Staff was the other hi-light as they were wonderful in almost all areas of the ship. A pleasant smile or a warm hello was always shared and many individuals remembered previous interactions.
Cabin Review
Stateroom was on deck 3 portside midship. The room was well appointed with plenty of closet and storage space though it was laid out a little quirky. We were impressed by small touches in the room design and layout and would book this category again if needed. We would not book this location due to noise from an above kitchen area and below from a staff area.
Port Reviews
Puerto Plata was a new port for us. It had a fell much like Costa Maya and was very touristy. Within the port complex was a sand area without water access and also a pool. The area was also full of shops, bars, and restaurants.
