My family choose this cruise line because it was for 12 days and the 7 ports of calls appealed to us. This was our 7th cruise so we were pretty familiar with how the cruise lines operated in general.
The first issue I noticed was the odour in our stateroom the minute we were able to enter. I didn’t think much of it because I have a highly sensitive sense of smell. The odour carried into most bathrooms on board and sometimes in our own bathroom. The soap dispensers were either broke or empty so it was difficult getting your hands washed in many occasions. On a couple occasions the toilette paper was empty in the public bathrooms and a major concern being in dress clothes for the evening.
The staff rarely acknowledged you if at all and when approached about a concern that you may have, they either didn’t understand you or simply shot you down without assistance of any kind. For instance my son was in the teen lounge with several others and the staff takes their key cards in the beginning and holds them until the end of the evening. One evening several kids cards were left in the lounge after the staff left for the evening so my husband called down to get someone to open the door where the kids were waiting for their cards. They told him to get the kids to come to the service desk instead and have new cards made up. All someone had to do is come up and unlock the lounge for the kids. Not a big deal if the line for services wasn’t an hour long wait with other unhappy guests onboard. Other cruise lines bend over backwards helping you solve a problem or concern where the staff on this boat just blows it off.
