Sailed on the Carnival Breeze January 16-21

We chose this cruise kind of last minute since our cruise was cancelled at the beginning of the pandemic. My wife and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary so we took this opportunity to sail without our kids. We let the cruise line pick out room. We were assigned 7237, which is in the front of the ship but unfortunately right above the theater so the noise at night was a bit much. Food in the main dining room was ok, nothing spectacular. The seafood shack and Guy's Burgers are a must and they are fantastic. We chose my time dining which meant we could eat anywhere between 5:45 and 9:00. The Carnival Hub app is a must and is extremely helpful when reserving table or to just keep up with whats going on around the ship. We were worried that this was a party boat but we found that to not be our experience. This cruise was sold out but never felt extremely crowded. Ports of call were Cozumel and Progreso. Weve been to Cozumel several time so we knew what to expect. We booked Mr Sanchos on our own and it never disappoints. We met some veteran cruisers on our trip and they told us not to get off the ship at Progreso so we dont have a review of that port. I do know that the pier to get to the mainland is 4 miles long so you would need to take a shuttle to get there. We didnt watch any of the shows but we did go to the comedy club one night. The comedian was not very good. The weather was fantastic. And there always seemed to be someone from the ship either cleaning, sweeping, mopping all day long. The boat always looked and smelled clean. Really dont have any negatives to say about this cruise or the ship in general. The one thing I will say is that if you are into watching the movies on the outdoor movie screen some of the better movies didnt start until midnight. We will change room locations next time so as to not be above the theater.

Interior

We chose an interior stateroom because it was just me and my wife. We only slept and showered in there. Room was plenty big for us.

Cozumel

Been here several time. Booked Mr Sanchos and always a good time.
