We like to cruise to the Sothern Caribbean in January because we know it will be warm. This was our second time in a Havana Aft Extended Balcony. Outlets were limited to the desk area . Beds were good , closet space was adequate. We were in Cabin 7467, which means another deck below us to absorb the sound of the Havana Bar on deck 5. My sister-in- law was on 6 and could hear the bass and drums late at night.

Our cabin steward and his helper were fine, except they didn't clean the balcony everyday, which accumulated soot from the funnel. The representatives at guest services on the other hand seemed to be in a bad mood the three times I had questions. One time was to pay off part of my bill. They could have at least smiled and said thank you when I gave them Carnival gift cards I had purchased. Another representative wasn't happy when I informed him about the half eaten slice of pizza I found on the balcony about 9:30 in the morning. It wasn't there earlier in the morning. He seemed upset with me for bothering him with that.

I spend a lot of time on the balcony during a cruise and I really like the aft balconies on Horizon. The lounge chair is great for reading and looking at the ship's wake or if I sit up I can see the semi-private pool and hot tubs. Unlike other hot tubs on ships, since this is a semi-private area and enforced by Carnival, I was able to find room in the hot tubs whenever I wanted and my wife could find a chair that she wanted.
