After hearing many reports from others giving such good reviews of their River cruise holidays ,we thought we would give it a try after enjoying ocean cruises.

In fairness the weather was not as good as it should have been, however our experience was definitely below par for the amount we paid.

We were in a lovely, but very small balcony cabin, which felt quite confined. The food was not great and certainly not much choice. Also as the smallest tables for meals were for 6, meant we were dining with strangers, who weren’t always our cup of tea, as we prefer tables for two. As a bonus we managed after the first couple of evenings to meet up with a group of lovely people. Also we heard at times some of the staff arguing amongst themselves which was not acceptable !
