We always wanted to see South America and this cruise provided that opportunity. The Viking cruise was great, but the Air Lines getting us to the ship could have been better. Delta or Latam dropped the ball in Sao Paulo Brazil and we didn't get to our stateroom until 1:15 AM Monday morning. We had trouble calling the Viking Travel Emergency telephone to report our problem from Brazil and to let them know we were coming to the ship. Staff, food tours were all great and we had a great time until I came down with Covid-19. Viking took great care of us with great food delivered to the room, we just couldn't leave it to finish our tours. Viking transferred us to a hotel to wait out our corrinteen time before returning home. That hotel was not up to par with previously hotels Viking had provided on previous trips. How the hotel worked with food and transfer to the airport was not explained in detail which raised a lot of questions with the nine of us who were there because of covid. Hotel rooms were not as clean as could be and the hotel food was terrible. Covid asided did not stop us from booking another cruise with Viking before leaving the ship.

Cabin Review

Great and spacious with lots of room. The room was ADA equiped. The services staff was excelant. Great closet space and sterds were great in getting more hangers brings us lots of water. Great laundry services was provided and if we had known this we would not have packed so much stuff.

Explore the majestic scenery of the Strait of Magelland learn the history of the early settlements. See Fort Bulnes, the first Chilean settlement in the area. Great tour guided. Little windy the day were there.

Ushuaia (Tierra del Fuego)

Discover the "City at the End of the World" and the Train rided at the bottome of the world. Train is pretty packed with people. Interesting this town has four rugby clubs instead of soccer.

Penguin of Bluff Cove Lagoon or Bertha's Beach Wetland Expedition was great but windy. Penguins were great and cute.

Puerto Montt

Emeral Lake Cruise, Petrohe Falls & Puerto Varas famous for its German traditions, where a great and delicious local lunch was served. Took our time to discover handicraft market.
