Check in. I saw 2 lines, an elite line and a “Green line”. Green line is for those of us who have completed the medallion app documents, which I did. They put me in the elite line anyway since I’m elite, and both lines moved almost exactly the same. It took 42 minutes from the time we got in line to get on our way to the ship. I think in the past, prior to COVID, I never waited more than 10 minutes as an elite.

You use the medallion app to upload all of your documents, passports, Covid test, proof of vaccinations, yet when you get to the check in counter, they don’t want to know about the app, they want to see all of this paperwork. So why the hell spend all this time uploading to an app when they could care less about it?

Our first night, went to Sterling Steak house. I’ve been to the Steakhouse many times on other Princess ships but this one is a pretty poor excuse. What they did is basically roped off the back side of Horizon court and called it the Sterling Steak house. Atmosphere is that of the Horizon court. No decorations or anything to change it up. Sterling usually has that old world charm and feel, not this one. On top of that, I ordered a Rib Eye and I can honestly say I’ve had better at Applebee’s. I’ve never had such a bad experience with Princess.
