Our group of ten embarked upon what we thought would be a great NYE cruise experience, unfortunately this did not occur as the negatives outweighed the positives.
Positives where great staff in the restaurants, bars and our cabin attendant. Also the boarding and disembarking process efficient.
Negatives, the food quality in the main dining room was terrible. Actually, the buffet and smaller food outlets such as the Indian and Wok was much better. We complained to the dining room floor manager on the first night after waiting over 50 minutes for food and drinks, the food as horrible, he then moved our group to another table where the waitress was fantastic, but the food was not.
Cabin was good but a little dated..
Great Island for swimming and snorkeling, take reef shoes, snorkel gear and some cash to purchase items from the locals. Be careful of a current that runs along the beach keep an eye on children and poor swimmers.
The locals do not live on the Island and transport everything over by boat.
The tender process can be a little interesting pending on the conditions and the cruise lines tenders driving skills.
You may also see an aircraft land and take off on the rough landing strip, it's not often though.
