About the Reviewer: I’m a middle-aged American male who traveled solo this trip. This was my 31st Norwegian Cruise Line voyage and my 55th cruise overall. I have sailed primarily on NCL with a handful of cruises with Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, MSC and Carnival. This was my eighth cruise back after the pandemic restart and my fourth back with Norwegian Cruise Line. My previous cruise was on the Norwegian Jade in the Greek Isles in September 2022. This review is presented in chronological order.
Day 1 – Embarkation Day – New York City, NY
I was already in New York City the day prior and was up early so strolled down to watch the ship come in. The ship arrived and tied up at 8AM. I suspected the disembarkation would take a while so I didn’t bother to hurry checking out of my hotel room. I was only 1.5 blocks away. I headed to the pier shortly after 10AM. To my surprise there were already people checking in for the cruise but they weren’t letting anyone on. In comparison to the previous sailing from NYC with the COVID checks to Bermuda, this one was the easiest as there were no lines at any point except to board. They started boarding the ship based on people needing assistance and then with the Latitudes program. It was a quick embarkation.
