Initially skeptical about going on a carnival cruise after being on the conquest 3 years prior we decided to try the new ship. The videos looked great online and it appeared that the entertainment was good too. Upon entering the ship we were impressed with the decor and ambiance. There is a lot of outdoor seating , pools and restaurants. After the first few days we started noticing things that were pretty annoying. For starters the shopping on the ship in terrible. There is no general store for a Tylenol or anything. The second thing was the entertainment. It was pretty mediocre but the worst part is that you cannot get a seat. They have the big shows center of the ship where there is limited seating and even if you get a seat you are under a roof that's 12 feet and can't see the acrobats in the air. They could use the bigger theater at the back of the ship but do not. Another complaint is they have half of the 8th dedicated to photos that nobody cares about and you get harrased everyday. The gym on the other hand is tiny. I have seen way bigger on a smaller ships. Speaking of the gym. Our room was right under it and even tho it says 6 am to 10 pm people were in there way after. The dining is also confusing. If you do not have a phone with the app you basically cannot eat. You have to reserve a table on your phone and wait 20 min. Never experienced this ever. Wish we picked a royal caribbean.
