Just arrived back home from our Antarctica, South Georgia and Falklands Expedition. Originally our trip was booked for November 2021 but due to Covid, the trip was cancelled by Quark. We rescheduled for this December. We chose a longer expedition because we heard great things about South Georgia islands so we really wanted to have that included in our Bucket List trip of a lifetime. Quark did not disappoint. Everything was great and it was so memorable.

The World Explorer is a wonderful ship. Our stateroom was very good size. The washroom (very important to us) was a good size with a good shower. We were so busy during our trip that we only had time to use our stateroom, the auditorium for informational lectures, the observation deck, the dining room and the ready room (mud room). The ship was well laid out, easy to get to around and had a nice contemporary decor.

Without going into too much detail, the crew was great. Our stateroom steward, Regine, was always courteous and our room was always made up whenever we left for even a short while. The wait staff in the dining room was always polite and friendly and especially Carlo was also very timely in his serving of the food.
