My husband and I chose this cruise since we have no relatives nearby. We thought it would be special to be pampered by American Cruise Lines at this time of year! This was our first time on Chesapeake Bay, and we were astonished at the many excursions available. Not enough time to do them all, so we will need to come back again and cruise again with ACL. Exceptional excursions to us were the Colonial Williamsburg Walking Exploration on Christmas Day, Military Aviation Museum in Norfolk, Arlington National Cemetery Experience, and George Washington's Mt. Vernon Estate. A history buff's great itinerary!

When we weren't out and about due to the cold weather, we thoroughly enjoyed all the activities on board. Cruise Director Chris Roby kept us busy with a variety of activities, including on-board speaker Mark and other speakers, trivia contests, arts and crafts classes, a putting contest, and a laugh-filled spelling bee. Quite an array of activities which kept everyone entertained.

As to the dining experience, the Chef and his staff certainly "went the extra mile" with the Christmas buffet dinner. It was wonderful. Also, special kudos to the pastry chef for her outstanding concoctions...especially the night before disembarkation. What a wonderful selection!

Cabin Review

We always love the size of the bathrooms. They are wonderful!
