We’d been to Egypt several times over the years, and wanted to return.
We spotted an advertisement for a Uniworld cruise on the Nile that seemed to include so much, plus a few days in Cairo.
It turned out to be a fantastic trip, with everything one could possibly want included: business class air fare, 5 star Cairo hotel, daily fully guided tours, meal time drinks and , of course, an excellent reputation.
Beautifully decorated, comfortable and delightful.
We chose the cruise as we wanted to revisit Egypt, in particular the New Cairo museum.( Unfortunately the opening has been postponed for several months)
In lovely Aswan we were all treated to a wonderful afternoon tea on the terrace of the glamorous Old Cataract Hotel, with its elegant styling and memories of Agatha Christie.
Independently we took a felucca ride to view the charming Elephantine island with its ancient Nilometers.
