We had cruised 19 times before this cruise and chose HAL because we like their service and food on the other HAL ships. This being our first cruise since COVID started, we also wanted a smaller ship.
Both embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth and we received our luggage within 2 hours.
The ship was nicely decorated for the holidays and is still in fairly good condition, although showing some signs of its age.
The cabin was lovely. We had a nice king-sized bed and, because the temperature was inconsistent, we asked for extra blankets and were very comfortable. The bathroom has both a shower and a whirlpool tub...and nice bath amenities. The deck for the aft facing cabins are terrific and we spent a lot of time on it relaxing. Our "butler" was really a cabin steward, but he did a nice job.
We had never been to this port and enjoyed the day at the pool watching the dancers from the ship make fools of themselves by drinking too much and acting out.
We have been to San Juan several times, but always love it.
St. Thomas still seems to be recovering from the too major storms that hit her over the last 6-7 years. But it still our favorite island. Lots of shopping.
Also our first time at this HAL owned property. We loved it and wished out stay there was longer.
