We cruised during the covid pandemic in September 2021 from Genoa with the MSC Seaside in the mediterranean sea. Embarkation was well organized, we had a fix timeslot for embarkation, took a covid test in the harbour terminal and got our cruise card.

The first thing which annoyed us was that once we did a first step on the ship multiple crew members approached us and tried to sell us drinking packages, internet packages or reservations in the speciality restaurants. Our first impression was that they want to really only sell us additional things. When we asked how to get to our cabin non of them was interested to help us. Ok nevermind - no issue to find the cabin on our own but instead of only sell stuff I would expect a little bit of service for the price we paid.

The ship itself is well designed and was in 2021 quite new. We liked the interior and the glamouros design of the ship.
