We have done 8 Viking River cruise, and have loved all of them, but booked Scenic because it’s sold as a superior more luxury product, but it is not in any way, Viking has better customer service in every way, from bar service to food services to excursions!! We booked the Royal Panorama Suite, and the room was very nice, but the butler service is a complete joke, they say they can do all these things for you, but every thing you ask, they can’t seem to be able to do, Viking people know and call you by name within hours, at worst a few days, we were not called by name one time on a 15 day trip with Scenic by any crew member, the ship experience a problem out of the control of anyone, and Scenic tried to keep trip moving forward, and we don’t have any problems with this part of the trip, it was poor food with no flavor, and if you get a drink, don’t expect another, scenic includes tips, but this is actually a mistake because the whole crew doesn’t trip at all, I guess they figure they are going to make the same amount no matter the service, so why try!

Do not choose Scenic over Viking!!
