My partner and I had sailed two previous times with Celebrity and had not even considered another cruise line when we wanted a quick getaway for New Years. This sailing had us questioning if we’d ever come back to Celebrity due to the lackluster service, dining procedure, multiple drink options unavailable, and a nickel and diming attitude I thought was for other cruise lines.

First, the Anytime dining option is a joke - we waited for an hour for a table on NYE and 30 mins another day. The food in the main dining room had laughably small portions with most items mediocre at best. Only the prime rib stood out. The wine and bar service was absolutely awful this time around. Sometimes the sommelier would not stop by until halfway through the meal and for reason the main waiter wouldn’t take our wine order.

I miss the full service breakfast room service option - only continental breakfast is available, otherwise it’s $10 if you want eggs. The bars almost always were out of a first choice wine or beverage - we paid for the premium drinks package and rarely were able to get wines over the $9 classic amount. Very disappointing. Read more
